I have looked all over and seen tons of people have had this problem, but none of the solutions have worked for me - and it seems the causes aren't even the same. It is popping up more and more constantly as I use them to try to listen to my music and is very frustrating. This happened with a pair of skullcandy earbuds that did NOT have any control/button on it, and persisted with another pair that does. I see no way to actually disable voice control, only to turn off pressing the home button to get to it - which i have already done. Since turning off siri, now voice control pops up constantly without pressing any buttons. Now, every time i plug in headphones, siri started activating. So the other day, my iphone 7 started fast forwarding my music (in spotify) on its own and wouldn't stop until I unplugged the headphones.
